While women remain relatively invisible in the pages of woodworking books, catalogs, and how-to web sites, women are actively shaping the future of the woodworking. Through participatory research and ethnographic interviews, the proposed research seeks to explore the contemporary studio furniture movement through the lens of the women working in the field, and to produce a book on the topic.
